MarTay Jenkins, Founder, CEO and President of Stand Out Sports is an NFL record holder and active advocate for children.

Native of Iowa, MarTay played Pop Warner football in the 7th grade, but did not play again until his senior year in High School where he was invited to the Iowa Shrine Bowl, a prestigious bowl game where each player is the sole representative of their school. MarTay attended Iowa Area Community College, eventually transferring to the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where his speed, athletic ability, and work ethic led him to the Blue and Grey division 1 All Star game leading the blue team in receiving yards. The accolades continued from there, when soon after he played the Snow Bowl Division 2 All Star game taking the “MVP” award! His successful college football career landed him in Texas when he was drafted 6^th round by the Dallas Cowboys as a Wide Receiver. After pre-season the Arizona Cardinals picked him up, where he played NFL football for 4 yrs, making special team player of the week. During his 4 year career with the Cardinals he was the teams 1^st to run a kickoff return back for the Cardinals in 21 yrs. ( 97 yds). He continues to hold 2 ALL TIME NFL RECORDS!! The most kickoff returns (81) and kickoff returns yards in one season. (2,186).

After a short stay with the Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos, MarTay found a change in the CFL (Canadian Football League) playing for the Calgary Stampeder, where his speed and agility helped the team make it to the playoff’s. In 2007 MarTay was inducted into the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Hall Of Fame.

Although MarTay found success as a professional football player he attributes this to pure talent. Prior to making the NFL he had very little knowledge of nutrition, strength training and maximizing speed. A lack of training and preparation can end some potential athletes opportunities and ability to compete in today’s sports environment. MarTay’s goal is to use his professional experience to prepare today’s youth to be the best athlete they can be. Not everyone will make it as a professional athlete, but training will prepare them in case the opportunity presents itself.

Mission Statement



In 2009, former Arizona Cardinal MarTay Jenkins founded Stand Out Sports (SOS). SOS’s mission is to share the knowledge and wisdom obtained from his NFL, CFL, and Collegiate experience. By training kids and young adults to become better athletes through proper technique and fundamentals, SOS’s curriculum will increase their speed and performance leading to more explosive results, better change of direction, agility, mental toughness, and overall self confidence. Mastering these skills coupled with the comradery and dedication will also improve their confidence as an athlete. By giving back to the community and working with children and young adults, SOS provides an affordable training program to prepare athletes for little league, high school, collegiate, or professional opportunities.



Company Goals

StandOut Sports is based in Goodyear, Arizona. We will service all areas of the greater Phoenix valley, holding youth camps in various cities. Our long term goal is to open a state of the art facility in the West valley, a 1 STOP SHOP! The facility will host speed, conditioning, strength, rehabilitation, heath and nutritional awareness classes as well as fitness programs. Our facilities criteria will be centered around well being with a major focus on self empowerment, self image and teaching the importance of feeling good about yourself. Stand Out Sports recognizes the national impact childhood obesity has had on our youth. We will develop and implement classes and tailor programs for kids at risk of, or currently dealing with the many mental and physical implications of obesity.

Local weekend and summer camps will remain a major focus of ours as well as developing an after school program in the near future.
